    Histoire

    The Baoulés (Ba Ou li) are a people of Côte d'Ivoire, living mainly in the centre of the country, near the cities of Bouaké and Yamoussoukro. They account for about 23% of the country's population (3,943,667 people), making the Baoule the country's largest ethnic group, ahead of the Bétés and Senoufos, who constitute the country's second and third largest ethnic groups respectively. Baoule is an African language of the Akan or Central Tano language family. It is the language of the Baoule people.
